Even though Bruce Lee wasn't able to live long, he sure did make a huge impact during his time and inspired so many people around the world. No other martial artist has had more of an influence on martial arts, fitness, and combat sport than him. He wasn't just known to be able to do martial arts, he was also known for being an amazing dancer and also boxer. His influence has been so phenomenal that even the legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard said that he developed his amazing speed by re-creating and copying the fighting scenes of Bruce Lee’s films such as Enter the Dragon.

Lee was born while his father, a Chinese opera star, was on tour in America. The Lee family moved back to Hong Kong in 1941. Growing up, Lee was a child actor who appeared in some 20 Chinese films; he also studied dancing and trained in the Wing Chun style of kung fu.
After a match against Wong Jack Man, Lee decided that he had failed to live up to his potential because of the rigidity of Wing Chun practices. Thus, he began to formulate a martial arts style that was practical for street fighting and existed outside of the parameters and limitations of other martial arts styles, jeet kune do as it came to be known later.
